Spring Arbor had a split result on the final day of competition over the weekend, breezing past Penn St. New Kensington University in their first game, but falling short to Dordt College in a hard-fought match.
In their first game, Spring Arbor led early but didn’t break away until the later stages. They scored 10 runs from the fifth inning onward, with seven players getting a hit and five notching at least one RBI. They eventually won the game 14-2.
However, in their second game against Dordt, Spring Arbor lost their first game of the season. The game was dominated by strong pitching, with both starters going the full game and striking out eight. It was a 3-3 tie going into the eighth inning when Dordt took the lead with a sacrifice fly. Spring Arbor couldn’t match up and suffered their first loss of the season, with a final score of 3-4.
