The Chicago Bears have signed free agent quarterback Andy Dalton to a 1-year deal. The deal will pay Dalton $10 million with a chance to earn another $3 million in incentives.
This move certainly doesn’t mean the Bears won’t look to add another quarterback, but with a lowered salary cap and the team already having Nick Foles on their roster, are they are really in position to spend more on a QB?

It looks like Chicago will now have to stick with the “Red Rifle.” He played college football at Texas Christian University, and in his final college game led TCU to a win in the 2011 Rose Bowl. He is the all-time leader in wins at TCU.
Dalton was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He has only played with the Ohio based franchise to this point in his NFL career.
