The Houston Texans quarterback situation is one everyone is following this offseason. This latest move by the Texas franchise tells quite the story about what they anticipate going forward.

On Tuesday, the team came to an agreement with free-agent quarterback Tyrod Taylor on a one-year deal. The deal is worth $12.5 million to the veteran signal caller.

The move provides the Texans with some stability in the event the Deshaun Watson situation ends with him elsewhere in the league. Many around the league believe that the Texans will eventually trade Watson.

Taylor spent last season with the Los Angeles Chargers. He was replaced by Justin Herbert in Week 2 of the 2020 NFL season after a Los Angeles Chargers team doctor accidentally punctured Taylor’s lung just before kickoff.
