The Pittsburgh Steelers had a solid 2019 campaign, even though they lost Ben Roethlisberger to injury. The quarterback is returning back from major elbow surgery and looks accurate and strong in training camp practices.
The Steelers are one of three teams without a player to opt out because of COVID-19 concerns. Even cancer survivor James Conner will continue to play in the face of the pandemic.
The Steelers should make the postseason for the first time since 2017
The Steelers finished 8-8 last season with Mason Rudolph and Devlin Hodges at quarterback. Roethlisberger’s return means the Steelers should be gunning for a return to the postseason for the first time since 2017.
The last time Big Ben played a full season was in 2018. He led the NFL with 5,129 yards that year. Playing with a “pain-free elbow,” it’s entirely possible Roethlisberger rebounds for an even stronger campaign.

The Steelers added two key receivers downfield in tight end Eric Ebron and rookie Chase Claypool. Look for him to target them along with returning clutch pass catchers Smith-Schuster, Johnson and Washington.
Diontae Johnson had put together a pretty impressive rookie campaign. The 2019 third-round pick was a part-time player for most of the season, but still finished with 59 catches, 680 yards and 5 touchdowns.
