Darius ‘Big Play’ Slay wants to get paid. As he should. He’s one of the more skilled defensive players in the NFL. Slay is currently underpaid for the level at which he plays. Slay is considered a premiere player that is key to making Matt Patricia’s defense work the way it’s supposed to.

The 28-year-old  was drafted by the Lions in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft and played college football at Mississippi State. Since entering the league he has recorded 17 total interceptions. This will be his seventh season in the NFL.
