The Adrian College women’s hockey team traveled to Trine University for its first road match of the season. The Bulldogs came away with a 5-1 win in their second meeting of the year.
The Bulldogs led 2-0 after the first period. Kaleigh Cadorette started the scoring netting the first goal on assists from Brooke Schembri and Jaden Rilei. With a 1-0 lead, Reaghan Pietrowski scored the second Adrian goal to lead 2-0. Kathryn Truban and Jessica Anderson recorded assists on the goal.
The Bulldogs led 2-0 heading into the second period when Une Bjellandadded to the lead on a power play, Jocelin Hudanish and Jessica VonRuden recorded assists on the goal. Trine answered back to bring the score to 3-1 after a power play goal. With just over three minutes remaining in the period, Emily Stemple netted a goal to lead 4-1. Cadorette picked up an assist and Lindsey Sorrell grabbed an assist.
With a 4-1 lead in the third period, Pietrowski found the back of the net for the second time this game to lead 5-1. Karmen Anderson and Sydney Daversa picked up assists on the Bulldog goal.
Adrian recorded 65 shots on the night and won the faceoff battle 29-15. Mia Glassco allowed one goal and recorded 22 saves in goal.
