Trey Matthews, a Communications Major and Junior at Adrian College, has received national attention for his announcing. “He thought there was no way he could be the only one,” said a press release from Adrian College athletics.
Adrian College, about 70 miles southwest of Detroit, is where Adrian College Television is located. Matthews wanted to get into play-by-play broadcasting, and joined the school’s TV station last fall.
Matthews was assigned to hockey, a sport he admittedly had little knowledge about. But it didn’t take him long to pick it up and get into the swing of things calling ACHA games on ACTV and ACSN.
