We saw Pat Maroon announce his retirement, Sidney Crosby pass Wayne Gretzky for the most points with a single franchise, Alex Ovechkin continuing to chase down and get closer to Gretzky’s all time goals record with goal 888 and the Capitals become the first team to clinch a playoff spot. We also nearly got a goalie fight between Jeremy Swayman and Kuemper in the Kings vs Bruins game which would have been incredible! In New Jersey, Sheldon Keefe called out Kovacevic to the media and Ref Sutherland jump at the puck leading to a goal in Toronto. The Buffalo Sabres let a player get a penalty and a goal on the same sequence as they scored on themselves, not something you see everyday!
