WATCH: How to Watch the SpaceX Launch as it’s Happening

Take two: History will be made as two NASA astronauts are sent into outer space. If the weather holds, Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley will be the first two astronauts to leave earth from the United States in nearly a decade.

This will also be the first time a private American company will lead the launching of astronauts into orbit. Bad weather thwarted the crews first liftoff attempt.

Elon Musk and SpaceX are hoping to revolutionize science and space travel with the launch, as the eyes of the world are on America. NASA will broadcast the launch live on NASA TV. You can watch NASA TV on NASA’s website, YouTube, Roku, and Twitch.

Liftoff is set for 3:22pm EST from the same spot at Kennedy Space Center where the last space shuttle launched to the moon back in 2011. The SpaceX Crew Dragon will launch on a Falcon 9 rocket. It will travel to the International Space station. The plan is for the astronauts to spend four months onboard the station.

If the launch if postponed due to weather, the crew will try again a third time on Sunday, May 31st. Earlier in the week cars and RVs lined the causeway in Cape Canaveral as people prepared to look on for the event.
