Saturday’s Western Michigan-Ball State game had a thrilling ending. Western Michigan lined up for the final play, down 30-27 and ran the lateral play. The play continued all over the field for some time.
Eventually it looked like the play came to an end. The Broncos’ ball carrier seemed to go down, sending Ball State’s sidelines into a frenzy as they ran onto the field.
But the ball was still live.
Western Michigan seemed to pull off a miracle, as they ran the ball into the end zone, even though nearly the entirety of the right side of the field was being blocked by the Ball State sideline.
Bur the play was called dead due to an illegal forward pass. With the win, Ball State football has advanced to the Mid-American Conference championship game. An exciting moments for the school.

Both teams ran onto the field before the play was ruled dead as Western Michigan attempted a last second TD.
