Astonishing footage shows what is being described as a “world record” snake being lifted up by a digger. The New York Post, Washington Post, and others have all used the phrase, though it doesn’t seem to be true.
The huge reptile was found by workers clearing part of the Dominica rainforest. Dominica, measuring just 29 miles long and 16 miles wide, has been referred to as “the Nature Island” due to its array of wildlife.
One species of snake known to reside on the island is the boa constrictor, which can grow up to 13 feet in length. Check out the viral footage showing the snake on the crane below.
