A Florida man was cited and asked to leave a public park after being found working out despite the pandemic lockdown. That man was NFL legend Tom Brady.
Brady, now a full-blown Florida man, was brought up by Tampa Bay’s mayor and the clip instantly went viral. A Parks & Recreation staffer was on patrol Monday when he spotted a man in the park.
He then realized that man was six-time Super Bowl champion and new Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.
“Our parks are closed down, and a lot of our park staff, they patrol around just to make sure there- people aren’t in contact sports and things” said Mayor Jane Castor
Here’s the clip of the mayor getting a laugh out of it:
Tom Brady may have won six Super Bowls, but like the rest of us, he’s just trying to find a place to work out. Tampa mayor @JaneCastor said in today’s briefing that a @tampaparksrec employee approached a man working out downtown and told him the park was closed. It was @TomBrady. pic.twitter.com/etrPdrrGsN
