Whatever it is that the Washington Post supposedly will be reporting about the Washington team has yet to be published. The sports world is eagerly awaiting, as “Dan Snyder” is trending on Twitter.
Speculation as to what the report will cover is absolutely off the charts. Some things seem plausible, while other theories are just down wild or silly.
A series of tweets from local reporters indicated bigger news is yet to come out of Washington and the NFL today. Shortly after it was announced that the Washington football team team would no longer be known as the Redskins, the tweets began to hint of the story the world is waiting for.
But there may not be a story.
What we know so far comes from reporters indicating they have heard rumors, or have heard from sources that something big is coming. Dwight Schar, Robert Rothman and Fred Smith are trying to sell their interest in the team. The Washington Post has confirmed that fact.

John Gonzalez of ABC Washington tweeted that the team’s name change will be “old news” after a “bombshell report” is dropped. It all started Sunday night and it has continued since.
“A real busy week,” said JP Finlay of NBC on Twitter. “And it’s not all going to be about the name and it’s not all going to be pretty,” he continued.
“What’s coming is disappointing and sad,” said Julie Donaldson in response to one Twitter user. The user had replied to a tweet she had made previously regarding Kelvin Harmon.
