The next 10 years will bring more change than the previous 100 years – and the doors to the future of tourism and travel are not closing; they are only just opening!
The future is better than we think. Personal connections, experiences and real-life engagement is what makes us human, and while we will certainly connect virtually in many new, exciting and CO2-saving ways, these experiences will develop in a parallel not a substitutional way.
However; how, why, when and where we travel will change completely in the next decade, impacted by the 3 Future Principles: Holistic, Circular (Sustainable) and Human. In this keynote, I outline why this development is a good thing, why tourism might well be heading towards a new albeit strange kind of ‘golden era’ – and how to get ready for what’s coming, and better yet, how to shape the future and make the right choices today.
