Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s future in Pittsburgh is up in the air, and the Steelers front office is saying they’re “excited” to evaluate Dwayne Haskins. The quote comes from a Steelers.com article.
“We’re excited to see what Dwayne can do with us,” general manager Kevin Colbert told Steelers.com earlier this week. The Washington Football Team released 23-year-old Haskins on December 28th.
Haskins was selected by the WFT at no. 15 overall less than two years ago. “We had high grades on Dwayne coming out of Ohio State,” said Colbert during the interview with Steelers.com.
Haskins posted a 60.1 completion percentage and passed for 2,804 yards, 12 touchdowns and 14 interceptions through 16 appearances across two seasons with Football Team.
Waning seconds. Best friends. Decade-long teammates. Always vowed they'd keep playing as long as the other did.https://t.co/tEHvtV0LBT

Roethlisberger turns 39-years-old in March. He has spent all 17 of his NFL seasons as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 2004 first-rounder is off of a season where many said he looked visibly slowed by age.
He started 15 of 16 games in 2020 and completed 65.6 percent of his passes for 3,803 yards, 33 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. It doesn’t seem like the team is desperate to bring him back at this point.
In his career he has completed 64.4% of his passes, for an incredible 60,348 yards, and 396 passing touchdowns. On the ground he also has totaled 1,368 yards and 19 rushing touchdowns.
