The Tennessee Titans have secured their man. Ryan Tannehill will remain at the helm of the franchise for the foreseeable future. In the process, the franchise elected to forego the possibility of signing free agent QB Tom Brady.
Tannehill was brought to the team in a trade with the Miami Dolphins prior to the beginning of last season. At the time it seemed to be nothing more than an effort to secure a backup behind Marcus Mariota.
The Dolphins sent Tannehill and a sixth-round selection in to the Titans in exchange for a fourth-round selection in this upcoming draft and a seventh-round selection in the 2019 draft.
Ryan Tannehill has agreed to terms on a new four-year contract with the Titans, per source. Here’s the numbers:

Tannehill signed a one-year deal with the Titans worth $7 million with up to $12 million in incentives.
Mariota was benched for Tannehill during Week 6 and led Tennessee to a 7-3 record in their remaining 10 games and with help from his defense and RB Derrick Henry, led the team to an AFC Championship berth.

2020 is $17.5m fully guaranteed.
2021 is $24.5m fully guaranteed.
2022 is $29m guaranteed for injury at signing and fully guaranteed on 5th day of 2021 league year.
