Nathan Ntalu’s exceptional 2022 campaign at Spring Arbor University has paved the way for his professional journey, as he has recently signed with North Carolina FC of USL League One.
In his debut season with the Cougars, this forward from France didn’t waste any time marking his presence known. Ntalu spearheaded the attack in 18 of the 20 matches he played in, recording an impressive 11 goals for the team. He was the leading scorer for the program, and came up with three pivotal game-winning strikes. He also added a number of assists to his state line.

Beyond the Cougars, Ntalu’s 2022 summer was equally eventful. He played for Lansing City in USL League Two, making appearances in six matches and netting two goals, while assisting on another. Before making a name in the US, Ntalu had carved his niche in Europe. He played in France’s Fives Osc until 17, and later transitioned to semi-pro soccer. He also graced the Northern Premier League in England, including a stint with the Ashton United Football Club in Manchester during the 2021-22 season.
North Carolina FC, established in 2006 and headquartered in Cary, North Carolina, competes in the USL League One, the third tier in the hierarchy of professional soccer. Leagues such as USL League One and NISA remain a critical platform for emerging talents like Ntalu.
