Have you ever heard of the Pareto Principle?
This “universal truth” about the imbalance of inputs and outputs is what has become known as the 80/20 rule. While it doesn’t always come to be an exact 80/20 ratio, this imbalance is often seen in various business cases.
20% of the sales reps generate 80% of total sales. 20% of the workers on the floor do 80% of the work. 20% of management facilitates 80% of the major decisions. And so on and so forth.
I share this because I want you to consider: are you part of the 20% today? Or part of the 80%?
