The Detroit Pistons are on pace to end up in the lottery. Because of that, many believe the team could be sellers before today’s NBA trade deadline. Derrick Rose is the obvious player the team might consider moving.
At this point team beat writers are indicating that won’t be happening.
Rose is under contract through next season. And, the team is still technically alive for the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference. The former MVP is Detroit’s leading scorer and assist man. He’s even gone as far as stating his desire to stay.

Andre Drummond and Blake Griffin, when healthy, should have the Pistons fighting for a playoff spot. Keeping Rose allows the franchise to try again next year.
This has been another great year for Rose.
