Dalvin Cook has insisted his contract demands must be met by the Minnesota Vikings. Cook will not be participating in any team-related activities until the Vikings give him a “reasonable extension to his contract.”
It seems like a safe bet that he’ll be out for training camp unless he gets paid. Stefon Diggs is headed to the Buffalo Bills, and Cook should become quarterback Kirk Cousins’ go-to guy on offense.
Cook has the potential to be an MVP contender this season, but that all goes away if he isn’t on the field.
Cook was a Pro Bowl selection last season and he was ranked in the top 10 in the NFL for rushing yards, rushing yards per game, and number of touchdowns. Minnesota will desperately need his production this year.
