Dallas Cowboys Kelvin Joseph Cleared by Police in Fatal Shooting

by News Bot

In spite of tragic circumstances, the Dallas Cowboys finally received some positive news in regards to Kelvin Joseph. Authorities have cleared the NFL athlete in the shooting of a young man earlier this year in Dallas, Texas.

Mike Fisher has reported that he has been cleared by Dallas County authorities. He also reported that the Cowboys are confident that the 22-year-old is clear from a legal standpoint.

“Some might argue that Kelvin Joseph was indeed involved with the shooting,” said Fisher. “He wasn’t the guy with the gun in his hand. We know that under Texas law, just being in the car can be enough.”

Fisher also expanded upon this, reporting that while he was truthful and forthcoming during the investigation, he wasn’t truthful and forthcoming until someone realized he was involved.

Aries Jones, who is 28-years-old, and Tivione English, who is 21-years-old, both of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, were arrested in April in connection with the homicide.

Joseph’s attorney, Barry Sorrels, told media earlier this year that Joseph was a passenger in a vehicle from which the gunshots were fired that killed a man last month. Sorrels clarified that he was not the shooter.

“Thank God you always have the last word,” Joseph tweeted Sunday, rejoicing the news.

Surveillance video released by Dallas police showed an incident between two groups of friends that included Joseph and Ray. Later, shots came from an SUV passing by as 20-year-old Ray and his friends walked to their car.

At 2:01am, police responded to the shooting in the 3600 block of Greenville Avenue where they then found Ray. He was transported to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
