David Njoku his agent Drew Rosenhaus have asked the Cleveland Browns to trade him to a new franchise. Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Cleveland responded saying they’d like to keep Njoku, but the pair were insistent on a trade.
Drew Rosenhaus said “it is in David’s best interest to find a new team at this time.” Njoku was drafted by the Browns out of Miami in 2017, having a productive start to his career despite a down year in 2019.
He has caught 93 passes for 1,066 yards and 9 touchdowns since joining the league. Jeremy Fowler indicated that the Browns had known Njoku was unhappy for about a year and that he would welcome a trade.
