Texas guard Andrew Jones missed most of the last two seasons because he was battling cancer. Leukemia, to be exact. He聽returned to action in the Longhorns’ season debut and struck the sports world with awe.
Jones put together a career-high 20 points in 29 minutes of action. He helped Texas defeat Northern Colorado in a 69-45 win.聽He came off the bench in the game, but played the third-most minutes of any Longhorn player.
He played in just two games last season before stepping away.聽Jones finished 8-of-13 from the floor on Tuesday.
