Adrian College Overcomes Siena Heights in Exhibition

The Adrian College men’s soccer team defeated the Siena Heights University Saints in an exhibition match by a score of 4-0. The Bulldogs scored four goals in the second half to come away with the win.

Adrian struggled to get the offense moving in the first half. The defense stepped up and kept the Saints scoreless allowing six shots in the first half.

Alex BrockΒ was able to make two save in goals for the Bulldogs to keep the match scoreless throw the first 45 minutes.Β Adrian picked up the pace in the second half by taking a 1-0 lead on a goal byΒ Austin Andres.

Thirteen minutes later, the Bulldogs struck again to lead 2-0 on aΒ David SmithΒ header on a corner kick fromΒ Justin Sarka. Smith kept the intensity high with his second goal of the match coming four minutes later to lead 3-0.

Dylan LynamΒ added some insurance late in the second half to put Adrian up 4-0.Β The match was called early due to a bio hazard on the field that the athletic training staff was unable to properly sanitize.

The Bulldogs resume action on Tuesday, September 29 with an intrasquad match. Next weekend Adrian will travel to Lawrence Tech to compete in its first road match of the fall season.
