CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (MWSN) — It was a battle worthy of a trophy as No. 2 seed SCAD Atlanta outlasted top-seeded Tennessee Wesleyan 4-3 to win the 2025 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women’s Tennis Tournament championship on Saturday.

The three-day event was held at the Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This is the Bees’ first tournament title since 2017. Tennessee Wesleyan took the early advantage by winning the doubles point. SCAD Atlanta evened the ledger as Adrianna Kluska won at No. 4 singles. Tennessee Wesleyan took the points at No. 5 and No. 6 singles for a 3-1 lead, but SCAD Atlanta claimed the points at No. 3 and then No. 2 singles.

It all came down to the No. 1 singles match. Shalimar Talbi won the first set 6-2 before Olivia Alcala battled back to claim the second set 6-4. However, Talbi turned up the intensity in the third, winning it 6-1 to secure the championship for SCAD Atlanta.
