DALTON, Ga. (SESN) — LaFayette High School (0-6) will face a challenging test this week as they take on Northwest Whitfield (5-1) in a crucial AAA Region 7 matchup. The Ramblers are still searching for their first win of the season and hope to turn things around at home, despite a winless home record of 0-4.
LaFayette has struggled on both sides of the ball, scoring just 80 points through six games while allowing 215 points. With a six-game losing streak, the Ramblers will need to find answers quickly to avoid falling further behind in the regional standings.

On the other side, Northwest Whitfield comes in with momentum, despite a recent loss. The Bruins have enjoyed a strong season so far, boasting an undefeated 3-0 record at home and a 2-1 mark on the road. With a total of 178 points scored and just 60 allowed, the Bruins have demonstrated a balanced and dominant approach on both offense and defense.
Key players for LaFayette include quarterback Khalas Finley, who has thrown for 619 yards and 4 touchdowns, and receiver Jayven Williams, who leads the team with 223 receiving yards and 1 touchdown. Finley has also contributed on the ground, rushing for 266 yards and 2 touchdowns this season. LaFayette will need big performances from both to break their winless streak.
