(MWSN) β As the 2024 football season approaches, Trine University looks to build on last year’s impressive 6-4 overall record, which included a 4-2 mark in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) play. The Thunder, who capped off 2023 with a home victory against Kalamazoo College, aim to leverage their experience and home-field advantage to make a strong run this year.
Trine’s 2023 season was highlighted by dominant home performances and a resilient conference run. The Thunder started the season with a statement win, shutting out Anderson University 61-0. Despite a narrow loss to Rose-Hulman, Trine rebounded with significant wins over Franklin College (58-43) and Adrian College (34-14). Key victories against Olivet (28-14) and Albion (35-28) bolstered their MIAA standing. However, road challenges were evident with tough losses to Hanover, Alma, and Hope.
