Adrian College has officially announced the 2020 Bulldogs football schedule, which is highlighted by five home dates and a tough non-conference slate. Adrian will kick off the season on September 5th in Tiffin, Ohio, as the team takes on Heidelberg University.

Heidelberg is a member of the Ohio Athletic Conference, which has produced the NCAA Division III national champion 16 total times. The Student Princes were 6-4 a year ago, including 5-4 in the rugged OAC.

Adrian then opens their home schedule against Hanover College on September 12th. Hanover was a 2019 NCAA Division III Football Championship participant in the first round of the playoffs and has appeared in the national tournament eight times. The Panthers finished 9-2 overall last season and won the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference title.

Adrian closes the month of September on the 19th with its non-conference finale against Benedictine in Lisle, Illinois. The Eagles were 7-3 overall last season, including a 6-1 record for second place in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.

The Bulldogs will then observe a bye week before their conference opener. On October 3rd Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Trine University will visit during Homecoming weekend on the College campus. The Thunder are a bitter rival of the Bulldogs, and they play annually for the “Border Brawl Trophy.”

For the next two weeks, Adrian will face MIAA competition on the road. First they’ll play at Albion on October 10th and then they’ll play at Alma on October 17th.

The Bulldogs will then host back-to-back conference contests. Hope College visits Lenawee County on October 24th and then Finlandia University visits on October 31st.

For their road finale on the 2020 campaign, Adrian will travel to Olivet College on November 7th.

Adrian will host their Senior Day in the regular-season finale on November 14th against Kalamazoo College.

The Bulldogs are scheduled to return more than 100 student-athletes, including 19 starters led by record-setting, All-MIAA quarterback Junior Jack Wurzer.
