Mookie Betts’ is likely headed to the Los Angeles Dodgers following an offseason full of rumors. It now seems official that the young Boston Red Sox star is on the move to the west in a blockbuster trade.
Both Betts and David Price are being dealt to the Dodgers, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
Significant cash would go from #RedSox to #Dodgers in Betts-Price deal as well. Betts owed $27M in 2020, Price $96M over next three years.

Both Betts and Price are going to the Dodgers and Alex Verdugo is headed to Boston. Though this may just be the start of a deal that has significant salary implications for the Dodgers.
Taking on Price’s money likely prevented the Dodgers from having to send a haul of prospects to the Red Sox. More details should come to light soon, but for now baseball fans know where Betts will be playing in 2020. That is, given the physicals go as planned.
