Ann Arbor Skyline had a chance at a game winning field goal on Friday night, but Tecumseh’s Indians secured their first win of the season in stunning fashion by blocking that attempt.
The Eagles game-winning field goal attempt was blocked as time expired. Skyline led 21-14 heading into the fourth. A late touchdown and 2-point conversion by the Indians gave them the lead before blocking Skyline’s field goal.
The Indians pulled off the exciting win by a final of 22-21
Quarterback Jacob Burns struggled, but was a big part of the win for the Indians. Alex Lawson also made important contributions on offense for THS. Lawson had four grabs for 32 yards and a TD.
Burns is incredibly talented- even if his stats didn’t pop off the page this week, don’t let that fool you. He was critical, and clutch. He completed 48% of his passes for 114 yards and a touchdown to Lawson.

Mason Malinczak was the player of the game for Tecumseh High, as he shifted momentum and racked up big number on the way to securing the win for his program.
Malinczak finished with 12 carries, good for 125 rushing yards, That’s over 10 yards per carry. The tailback also carried the ball into the end zone twice, pushing the towards the win.

Jordan Wilson led the way for the Eagles with a touchdown on the ground and a receiving touchdown as well. Marvin Cleveland also scored a rushing touchdown for Skyline.
Skyline finished with 295 total yards. 143 of those yards came from passing the ball. They rushed for the other 152 yards they racked up on offense.

The Eagles now sit at 1-3 on the season and will have another tough battle on their hands next week at Saline. Tecumseh picked up its first win to move to 1-2 and will travel to Chelsea next Friday.
