The Bengals secured a spot in the AFC Championship by defeating the Buffalo Bills 27-10 in the divisional matchup on Sunday. Cincinnati dominated the game from start to finish, with quarterback Joe Burrow throwing a 28-yard touchdown pass to Ja’Marr Chase on the opening drive. Tight end Hayden Hurst also caught a 15-yard touchdown on the team’s second drive. The Bills managed to score only once in the game, with quarterback Josh Allen powering his way in for a 1-yard touchdown in the second quarter.

Cincinnati had 30 first downs compared to Buffalo’s 18, and outgained them 412-325. The Bengals also finished the game 6-of-10 on third down, while the Bills were 4-of-12. Burrow had a solid performance, completing 23-of-36 passes for 242 yards with two touchdowns. He also carried the ball six times for 31 yards. The Bengals also dominated the run game, gaining 172 yards on 34 carries, with running back Joe Mixon putting up 105 yards on 20 attempts.

On the other hand, the Bills could not find any consistency on offense. Allen finished 25-of-42 passing for 265 yards and was intercepted on his last throw of the game. Wide receiver Stefon Diggs was limited to just four catches for 35 yards.

The Bengals will now face the Kansas City Chiefs for the second consecutive season in the AFC Championship Game. If the Bills had won, the conference championship game would have been held in Atlanta as a neutral site.
