The Stockbridge High School Panthers football team is eagerly preparing for their upcoming season, with games set to be played at Boyd Stadium in Stockbridge, Michigan. The team, comprised of students from 9th to 12th grade, will follow an independent schedule, providing a variety of exciting match-ups for fans to look forward to.
For the 2022 season, Stockbridge High School’s football team achieved an overall record of 6 wins and 3 losses, translating to a win percentage of 67%. Within the Greater Lansing league, they secured a single victory and faced 3 defeats, positioning them 4th in the league standings. The team showcased a commendable performance at home with 4 wins and just 1 loss, while their away record stood balanced at 2 wins and 2 losses.
The Panthers will kick off their season with the first practice on August 7th, followed by a series of Friday night games with a 7:00 PM start time. The schedule for the season is as follows:
August 25th: Away game at Springport
August 31st: Away game at Leslie
September 8th: Home game against Manchester
September 15th: Away game at Hart, held at Olivet College
September 22nd: Away game at Bath
September 29th: Home game against Saranac
October 6th: Away game at Perry
October 13th: Home game against Whitmore Lake
October 20th: Home game against Dansville
The Junior Varsity (JV) team will also see plenty of action, with games scheduled for the night before each varsity game at 6:00 PM. The locations will be opposite those of the varsity games. An exception to the schedule is the September 14th JV game, which will take place at Potterville.
Throughout the 2022 season, they amassed a total of 211 points and conceded 144. On average, they scored just shy of 24 points per game and allowed around 16 points. Their most dominant performance was evident in their match against Lincoln-King Academy Detroit, where they triumphed with a staggering 47-point victory, winning 61-14. They concluded the 2022 season on a high note with a current winning streak of 3 games.
