WEST POINT, Ga. (MWSN) — Point University Football has announced its 2024 season schedule. Coming off a 4-7 record (3-3 in the AAC) in 2023, the Skyhawks, under third-year Head Coach Trevor Zeiders, are aiming for a stronger performance this season. The team will host five home games at Ram Stadium in Valley, Alabama, where they hope to create an electric atmosphere.
The Skyhawks kick off their season on August 31 with an away game in McKenzie, Tennessee, against Bethel University. This marks the second consecutive season that the two teams will face off in their opening game. On September 7, Point plays its home opener against Lindsey Wilson College.
The Skyhawks will then hit the road for two consecutive weeks, facing NCAA Division I Davidson College on September 14 and NCAA Division II Allen University on September 21. Point returns home on September 28 for a night game against Faulkner University in the Battle of Highway 85.
October begins with an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) opener against Kentucky Christian University on October 5 at Ram Stadium. The Skyhawks then play two away games, facing Reinhardt University on October 12 and St. Andrews University in North Carolina on October 19. The weekend of October 26 is a bye week for Point.
November features two home games, starting with a matchup against the University of Pikeville on November 2, which also serves as Homecoming. The Skyhawks’ final home game of the season is against Union Commonwealth University on November 9, designated as Senior Day. The regular season concludes with an away game against Bluefield University in Virginia on November 16 at 1:30 p.m.
Head Coach Trevor Zeiders is focused on building a culture of players eager to make their mark and bring prominence to Point University Football. The Skyhawks aim to be competitive each week and strive to “run the table” this season.
