KANSAS CITY, Misso. (MWSN) — Charlie Muniz of Cumberlands (Ky.) is the NAIA Baseball Player of the Week, and Carson Ohl of The Master’s (Calif.) is the NAIA Baseball Pitcher of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from March 31-April 6 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.

NAIA Baseball Player of the Week

Charlie Muniz, Cumberlands (Ky.) – SR – C

  • Set the NAIA career RBI record as he drove in 10 to put him at 304 in his career.
  • Batted .706 (12-of-17) with seven runs scored.
  • Homered three times and had five doubles and one triple.
  • Nine of his 12 hits went for extra-bases, giving him a 1.647 slugging percentage.

NAIA Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Carson Ohl, The Master’s (Calif.) – GRAD – RHP

  • Tossed a complete-game, four-hitter against No. 16 Arizona Christian.
  • Struck out 11 batters and walked one in seven innings of work.
  • Allowed 1 earned run in an 18-1 victory.
