Beloved New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and his wife, Brittany, have announced a $5 million donation to the state of Louisiana to help “our communities get this though time.”
The New Orleans Saints quarterback said via Twitter last week that assessing the need in New Orleans is “a daunting task.” He explained that the coronavirus outbreak is affecting many people in different ways.
Brittany and I are committing $5,000,000 to the State of Louisiana in 2020. The priority now is helping our communities get through this tough time.

Brees has been heavily involved in the New Orleans and Gulf South communities through their Brees Dream Foundation since Brees joined the Saints in 2006. The super bowl champion provided instrumental help in the wake of Hurricane Katrina and has been beloved by NOLA ever since.
