Dog the Bounty Hunter has discontinued his search for fugitive Brian Laundrie, according to the Associated Press. WFLA’s Josh Benson reported that he had injured his ankle and that he would be meeting with his Doctor in Colorado.
Laundrie went missing after he returned home alone from a trip with his fiance Gabby Petito. Petito’s remains were found in Wyoming last month. Since then there has been a nationwide manhunt for Laundrie.
Dog the Bounty Hunter, or Duane Chapman, has been spearheading his own high-profile search for the 24-year-old. Dog and his team have been aided by law enforcement, and a K-9 unit, according to ABC News.
DOG. Just got an update from Dog the Bounty Hunter’s team. They say he’s headed back to Colorado soon to meet with his doctor after injuring his ankle in the search. He’s also raising funds to continue what he calls an ‘expensive search’. (1/2) #BrianLaundrie @DogBountyHunter

Even though 68-year-old Chapman has peeled off for medical attention, his team remains on the search in Florida. He calls the talented network of local team members his ‘Florida Team,’ according to Fox News.
Lyssa Chapman, Dog’s wife, tweeted “we are still actively searching for #BrianLaundrie, leaving a team in place in Florida. As always, whatever I can share with you, I will.”
Dad is headed back to Colorado temporarily to handle some business. ( Remember, he was in Florida on his honeymoon) We are still actively searching for #BrianLaundrie, leaving a team in place in Florida. As always, whatever I can share with you, I will ❤️

Duane Chapman has even added his own money towards the reward for any information leading to Laundrie’s arrest. His addition brings the total reward up to $180,000, according to ABC News.
Chapman has an anonymous tip line available for anyone who does not want to speak to the authorities at 833-TELL-DOG. Anyone with information on Laundrie’s whereabouts can contact the FBI directly at 1-800-CALL-FBI or 303-629-7171.
