The Adrian College hockey team bested Lake Forest 2-0 in game two of the weekend series. The shutout was powered by net-minder Denisa Jandova, and was her second of the weekend.
With an unbelievable 12-0 record to start the year, and a seven game winning streak at the end of last season, the Bulldogs have tied the program record for most consecutive wins at 19 in a row.
The Bulldogs scored first in the second period to take a 1-0 lead in game two of this weekend series. Brooke Schembri found the back of the net on assists from Une Bjelland and Jessica VonRuden.
The two teams held each other scoreless the rest of the period and went into the second intermission with Adrian leading 1-0. VonRuden scored a goal of her own in the third period to take a 2-0 lead and lock up the win.
Jandova is 7-0 in the net on the season, and has three shutouts on the year so far, which only adds to her program lead. Jandova stopped 19 shots from the Foresters on Sunday.
Adrian returns to play on Friday, February 26th, as they travel to play at Trine University.
