LeMarre played at Lumen Christi High School and the University of Michigan. The New York Yankees signed LaMarre to a minor-league contract just weeks ago. Now he’ll get his shot to show what he can do.
Now 32-years-old, the outfielder is battling for a spot on the teamβs Opening Day roster. If he is not selected to move forward with the franchise, he will be reassigned to the organizationβs Triple-A team in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

He was traded from the Atlanta Braves to the Minnesota Twins in September of 2019 While with the Twins he playedΒ in 14 games, including seven starts. He recorded a .217 batting average with two home runs.
According to Baseball Reference he has spent six seasons in the major leagues with the Cincinnati Reds (2015), Boston Red Sox (2016), Oakland Athletics (2017), Chicago White Sox (2018) and Twins (2018-19).
It was a perfect afternoon for Ryan LaMarre in Sarasota against the Orioles. He played the first five innings in CF and went 3 for 3 at the plate with a single and two doubles. He is a career .236 hitter with four home runs. He has also posted 21 RBI over 119 games (including 62 starts) at the major league level. We’re excited to see how he does for New York.
