New England Patriots fans were tuned in to root for Tom Brady during the big game on Sunday. According to Jon Ourand of Sports Business Daily, Super Bowl LV drew higher TV ratings in Boston than in Tampa, Florida.
The 57.6 rating in Boston surpassed the rating generated in that area for almost all of the Patriots’ Super Bowl appearances. Pretty cool for the franchise and fans to come out and cheer Brady on like that.
We won't see national Super Bowl ratings until this afternoon, but some local numbers are trickling in, and last night's rating in the Boston DMA is eye-popping.
